The Truck has done this since I bought and I knew about when I bought it, but I guess I am just now getting around to asking about it. When I turn the wheel, sometimes when it warm, sometimes when it cold, NEVER consistent. But it makes a hissing sound like it has some sort of air leak in steering? I have never heard of it, and the guy I bought it from said he talked to his Local Cummins Stealership and they had never heard of anything like it. Just looking for some sort of input from the master.

Thanks,

Rick

When you say 'turning the wheel' is this stopped or moving? If you are stopped, its possible the hissing is the relief valve in the PS pump relieving excess pressure. Very normal.

If you dont have any leaks, I wouldnt worry about it. Just check over your PS hoses real well.

good luck
