Competition I think i saw that car in Tijuana?!?

Competition has anyone dyno?

Absolutley Amazing!!!

I can only imagine what the last words of this feller will be.

Mabye something like "Hay Y'all watch this!!!"

That would be cool to have a dyno in my backyard. Did you see the graph where all the garbage was cut out?

I think he is one to something if he can get it dialed in.

We have a "load link" where I work. You hook it to the drawbar of a tractor, and then hook an implement(ie chisel plow, plow, ripper), and then go to the field. We can then show how much drawbar horsepower the tractor is putting down. It is VERY accurate. The only catch is you have to have an implement large enough to put a heavy enough load on to get the max amount of drawbar hp.

I don't know how well a dyno like he is trying to make will work with a gas engine. He needs to open up the engine on his car and then start applying the dyno brake until the engine starts to pull down. This might show the highest amount of "pull" and then could be converted to "hp".

At the very least he will eventually be able to tell if future mods and tweaks show a higher power level. That would be cool to know in your own backyard.

Am I the only one who thinks that guy is a total inbred? No offense to inbreds of course. That dyno graph reminds me of that email going around that has some guy making fun of children's drawings. The thing that amazes me is all the guys on that board that thought he was actually onto something. I bet that guy has a very aggressive mullet. No offense to mulleteers either. :)

"Yeah, its kind of a trick getting the car on the dyno. I just threw a couple of logs between the dyno and concrete to bridge the gap. I started on a couple of ramps tonight using some 14 inch I beam. "

WOW!!

Tires sucking power

I didn't get to read all of it to see if it was ever tuned in, but wouldn't the meshing of the tires together suck a small amount of power? Say maybe 30 hp at any given point. This would be backed by dyno's using steel rollers that have no deflection, unlike those huge bridgestones.
