HI Everyone... . bare (Behr. . lol) with me... . as I am new to TDR and this is my first post.

I own a 2001 Series 2500 pickup. 5 speed stick, Regular cab, real wheel drive "Only" with anti-slip rear end. I do have the camper special group package which I guess makes the ride more rigid when empty.

My question is... . when driving thru snow or should I say when starting up in snow I find once the wheels start to spin the back end starts to bounce and if I keep it up... . sure sounds like the whole drive shaft and diff are going to be laying on the pavement. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to solve this... ???

axle wrap-up is really annoying...

i've been thinking about ladder bars or replacement springs that eliminate the lift blocks. there's also a couple different active suspension kits that bolt on to help. a couple thousand pounds in the back helps a little.

Here's a thought

Maybe your drivetrain is "hopping mad" that it took you so long to join the TDR!! HAHAHA

First of all, welcome to the TDR!! I know you will find this to be the best resource ot there for Cummins Dodge trucks. That, and the folks you meet on here are the highest caliber around.

The wheelhop is a notorious problem on our trucks with the spacer blocks. The blocks give the axle lots of leverage on the springs, and the windup is considerable, esp. with all that Cummins torque its trying to manage.

For now, I live with it and drive sanely. In the future, I am looking at having a high end shop fab up some ladder bars for me (ALA Steve St. Larence's truck), since they do wonders for the axle stability.

On old mopars, they put a snubber on the pumpkin that leverages against the floor pan to control axle windup!
