Horizon Ad on TDR

Looked at it for curiosity - NOT INTERESTED in doing this BUT I did read it and was wondering why this statement:



Electric brake break away battery DOT requires the battery to be a "wet" cell battery, not a dry cell.



WHAT gives with the wet cell??????????????

The wet cell is kept fully charged by the tow vehicle charging system. The dry cells lose their charge gradually over time, aren't charged up by the tow vehicle, and no one ever thinks about servicing them. (Been there) If the trailer ever breaks away and the dry cell battery is low or dead, the breakaway system is ineffective.

I was impressed with the ad being here. I think its great marketing on horizon's part. although I don't work for Horizon Transport, I work for Star Fleet. I do know Horizon is a very repuatable company, with many satisfied drivers.
