Sacramento area or Nor-Cal folks?

Norcal Dyno Day

Darn, I have to go to Austin the 18th for a meeting. Anyone in Austin want to sit in a meeting all day so I can stay home... and go to Pasadena? It's really easy, they'll feed you lunch.

hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, let me think about this... . ;)

Sorry to hear about your bad luck actually.

Andrew

I should be able to make breakfast and see the shop - can't stay too long though.

Look forward to seeing y'all!

I just got the OK from SWMBO... I'll be there for breakfast and for BOMB'ing!!

Woo HOOO!! I can't wait! I do have to drive the girlfriend to San Antonio in time for dinner though... I'll need to leave the "party" by 2pm.

To help offset the cost of vittles, I can bring a couple-o-packs of hotdogs or sausages to throw on the grill and buns.

I am planning on makin it. Hopefuly someone will have a good breakover to get my gatorback belt put on. Was told at the parts house they have some on the way. Might talk someone into riding with me to see if we can locate that cotton-pickin rattle.

-Chris-

Send MDW a PM about that Chris.

We will also be tearing my NV4500 apart to put 5th gear back on. Since Miller Tools can't seem to get their tools shipped in time, I got delayed a week on this project.

As a side note,

David at E. T. Performance will need us to sign a waiver. I'm sure everyone understands the reason for this.

See everyone there.

Not being a smart aleck, but what is the schedule of "bombs"? Tearing into a transmission could be a full day event. .

Actually, the transmission deal got thrown in at the last minute. We're just taking the tail section off to repair the 5th gear. Miller SPX didn't ship the 5th gear socket like they were supposed to.

That shouldn't take too much time to do.

I know Bill has an ATS manifold and a 4inch exhaust system to install. We'll probably do a couple of guages sets too. We should be there most of the day.

Sounds good, if I can stay, I would like to see the transmission repair.

Lessee here- handcuffs, 2 pairs. Rope, check. Ratchet straps, rat'chere.

Yup, you CAN stay! :D

(Actually, I was planning to put you to work- I just LOVE seeing architects get their hands dirty!) ;)

Architect's with dirty hands???

Bill,

I think you're the first person that has ever claimed that they've actually seen an architect with dirty hands!!!:D :p :D Really, I have to admit that David has gotten his hands dirty to help me several times, so I shouldn't be ragging on him too much, huh???

What about KDP jigs? I'm hearing more and more about this being a problem with the early 24V trucks (mine's a 7/99 build date). All you under-valved guys should know a bit about this, huh??? How hard is it and how long does it take? Thanks!

I think I'll skip the breakfast, and head over to the shop for the lunch and fun. Anything I can bring for the lunch? Drinks, chips, etc. ?

I'm planning on being there. Anything I can bring for lunch? Want me to bring my Makita reciprocating saw for exhaust surgery? Drills & taps for the gauge install? Anything else?

Bill, you lucky dog, are you gonna get your South Bend clutch in time to install it?

Rusty

If you guys would like to bring them, chips and drinks would be appreciated. I'm planning on picking up some fajitas and fixin's.

Please bring as many of your own tools as possible. I'll bring a box with most wrenches and sockets needed. If anyone does have a tap for gauges, we'll definately put them to use.

Rusty, I havea feeling we'll need that saw-zall on Bill's truck. We'll decide what we'll cut up later. :)

If you plan on changing your oil, please bring a bucket to put the waste oil in to carry off.

I have a small bucket I will bring if needed.

David has a few Fleetguard filters in stock if you guys would like to pick up a couple while you are there. He also has a nice Banks Stainless Steel 4" exhaust for a good price in case you didn't get one for Christmas. ;) Give him a call at 713-490-2237.

If anyone can think of anything I'm forgetting, please let me know and I'll try to get it covered.

Clint, Gitch was going to try to get a KDP jig for this weekend. It takes about 40 minutes to do it, unless you're in a hurry.

Rusty- just found out this pm- probably going to wait until I get my #11 plate.

Gitch- I have both the 1/8 & 1/4 NPT taps & will bring them along.

Also, if we have time and anyone's interested in seeing it, I have a set of starter contacts we could install- I've got 96k on the originals & I hear that they should be replaced about every 100k.

KDP Jig

Forgot to mention in my previous post that I can't get the KDP jig back in time to have for the weekend. It is making it's way around the state right now, and there are a few guys on the list waiting.

Bill, you have got to be the luckiest guy I know. :D

Gitch, that was blind luck, "lucky" would be convincing an Architect to get his hands dirty when he needs help installing it :p

:D :D :D :D

Bill can sell water to a drowning man. :)

Just to make things a little easier, if everyone would bring their own chips and drinks and whatever else they think they will need. I'll supply the fajitas and fixings along with plates and other supplies.

See ya Saturday.

Thanks Guys.
