Guys,
I tried to share what I did to remove all the exhaust on my 6. 7 and just how well its been doing on the DTR forum and had it all deleted and was told that I was not to do that on their forum. I didn't see any problem since all the guys was talking about straight exhaust and stuff, so it left me a little uncertain LOL...
I started all this when their was no fix for some of the trouble I was having with CEL's and the truck would just not go through a complete regen cycle as it should.
I don't have a problem sharing this stuff I have made and how I made them, long as I don't do so and get into trouble with the site here too???
I will say that my truck now runs way better now, than it ever has and does get a little better fuel mileage from doing this also. The fuel mileage is still not what I was told and feel it should be, but I am still working on the truck also
I have had all the flashes and even the brandy new AU flash as of this past Friday... I hope to get my new straight piped intake finished and working this week-end. Its going to use the OEM filter housing as I am not a big fan of the filter's you can wash and re-use on any of my diesels.
I need the room where the OEM filter housing uses this large tube to transfer the cleaned filtered air to the intake of the turbo. So, I am making a straight pipe setup for this as well. It will allow more of the turbo whistle or whine when running than the OEM tube but, I like to listen to the talk-back from the turbo anyway. I am also sure my straight pipe intake tube will flow the incoming air much more smoothly for the turbo to feed on too...
Would love to share what I have been making as well as the how I do all this with art work(PIC's) long as its not against forum rules...
I want my truck getting the best fuel mileage and be able to tow whatever I see fit to haul off and run a hole in the wind if need be, doing so... It can soot the side of my truck and/or trailer doing so too
