Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How do you measure fuel pressure?

How do you connect a (temporary) fuel lift pump pressure gauge to a twelve-valve engine… I ordered a banjo bolt from Geno’s garage but it seems as though there is a difference between those used on 12 and 24 valve. (I read the catalog again and that's the way they told it --- I just wasn't pating attention)

Some have removed the banjo that feeds fuel to the Fuel injection pump. Then they drilled and tapped it for 1/8" pipe thread for a sender or the line to the gauge. When done, you can put in a pipe plug. You will need a way to either pinch the line or a needle valve. If you don't, the pulses from the lift pump will damage the gauge from it twitching and will be difficult or impossable to get a good reading.

search for illflem's setup here on tdr. he can sell you a banjo bolt and a snubber valve setup. it used that then used 1/4" tubing and push on, no leak connectors. i didn't use the compression fittings. i used a luquid guage from grainger (0-60psi). i leave the guage under the hood but have enough tubing to bring it in the cab if needed. i really only wanted to use it to see if i needed a new overflow valve.
