Update on mine from last year as well. Still the original LP and VP44 at 26,800 miles. ;) :)

The following post-filter fuel pressures are in 5th wheel towing service (see signature):

Idle - 16+ PSIG

70 MPH cruise - 14-15 PSIG

WOT - 11 PSIG

Original VP44

Still have mine, but just finished installing a STANADYNE Master filter with pump, part number 33945. Got the fuel pressure up to 16psi at idle, and 14psi WOT. I was down to 8psi at 65MPH and about 11 at idle. I was afraid to go to WOT when it got down to 8psi. I found a slick place to mount it and hooked up the fuel lines with Aeroquip Versa-flare fittings! Not too hard!

Oh, 49,800 miles.

16,000 miles drag comp+ottomind controller, DD3's, B1-2, and I know I don't have enough miles on mine to make it worth anything but there it is.

4 lift pumps and a VP!!!!!

IN the first 45k miles I have replaced 4 lift pumps and one VP!

Only "bombs" that I have is a Diesel Dynamics True Torge module ( Edge EZ) and a Scotty II. MOdule hasnt been on since 5 k before VP went and Scotty hasnt been on since about 10k before.

Have run Stanadyne Performance in EVERY tank load, including pouring a bottle into the tank before I even left the dealer lot when brand spanking new!

New fuel filters at 7500miles religiously, and fueled at high volume station. Never once had the WIF light come on and never any water/crud when drained.

FP gauage has been on since I had about 5k on the clicker.

Now I have a FASS running on my truck with the new VP (about 2weeks old) flowing through a 2micron WIX/NAPA filter. Hopefully now I am doing things correctly!

Lets do a tally: 4LPsx$150=$600ish

1VPx$1200ish (not including labor) $1200.

FASS= $500ish

Misc for FASS (SS hoses/fittings) $200

GRAND TOTAL=$2500!+ a lot of swearing and grey hair!

Wow wife better not read this! :--)

Too bad DC didnt do it right in the first place :-{}

Oh well I guess sometimes no matter what u do u will lose a LP or 4(!) and a VP in 45K!

Bought it at 83,000, has 94,000 on it now, still has the original VP, had 1 lift pump before I bought it and 1 within a month after purchase. I add Lucas fuel treatment every time I put fuel in, I have been slightly below 1/2 tank only 2 or 3 times since the last lift pump was replaced, and 1/4 tank or slightly below immediately before it failed.

84,000 miles... ... replaced lift pump at around 20,000. the lift pump didnt fail but it started getting louder and louder so i replaced it and the lines from the pick-up to the vp.

160,000 miles and counting on original VP44 (June 98 build - one of the early ones). Went through 4 lift pumps up to 60,000 miles - added a pusher pump at that point and replaced one more lift pump @ 150,000. Pump wire was tapped at 28,000 miles and been running that way since. I run it on level 7 on my PM3 98% of the time.

91,000 on the clock and hoping that it will last another 91,000. Frankly, the TDR has caused me to become paranoid about a failing VP44 - it's to the point where I thank my lucky stars every time it gets me home! This place is good for a lot of things but can also get you paranoid about possible problems! :-laf

Getting ready to add a TST box though - we'll see...
