I want to know what these guys with 10,000 or less miles do with their trucks (or dont do)... ... ... ... ... ... . I am rolling on to 80,000 on mine.

I want to buy one of those 10k trucks to play with!!!!! I just turned 50k on my '06; bought it in Nov. '05. Zero problems.

I would like to know what anybody with less than 100k on a six+ year old truck is or isn't doing! I just hit 203000 on my '00, and this year has been slow due to rain!

Mine is 8 years old, going on 57. 5K.

It's not my primary work vehicle or commuter.

My used Jeep 95 CG has been up until lately.

My daughter has it now, and I now have a Ford 500.

Before this job, always used rentals per company orders when traveling for work , anywhere.

Job before that I had a company car, a Taurus. Befor that a CrownVic. Put 20k a year on them, just company travel local. Many many many miles on rental cars after landing who know where.

Some people buy boats for recreation, some don't.

My Ram is my "boat". But one can't take a boat to HD to get sheetrock for the house, or haul the demolition of the bathroom or kitchen, or what ever is getting renovated this year, to the dumps.

But we also use it for recreation, camping (before trailer was totalled) and hitting the local south shore "outer beaches" for some R&R at the surf.

Bad Camera phone photo , but full moon at sunset on the south shore of LI looking across the "pond" towards Europe.

Camping on the same beach...

Camping at Montauk county park, south fork, north shore. Just around the bend from the Montauk light house.

Camping up state NY at a couple of different parks. .

Right here---as of today it has about 23,600 miles or up here 37,735 kilometers, and it is my hobbie ride(SEE SIG FOR GOODIES)----i get lots of people think i"m crazy but i do enjoy taking out for a ride once a week or drive it back and forth to my place at the lake(250 miles round trip)every weekend in the summer. The down side is i also commute to work with a 91 Acura Integra---Great little run about for work and things and it makes my ride even more enjoyable when i climb behind the wheel of the Cummins. One thing is that with a 6-speed in rush hour traffic here it is a pig/pain to drive and i like the car for that, but put me on a open highway and i can drive my truck for hours on end with a big ***** grin on my face all day long. Here a picture, but it now has a matching canopy on and some more goodies. Featured in Feb issue of Diesel Power Magazine,page#46 too.

update on mine.

I have 105,000 miles on my 2003.

I think the rear end may be headed south as I am hearing bearing noise from the back in turns. The only things fixed so far was an injector at 30-40 k miles, a water pump at about 95,000 and the front end rebuilt at like 90,000 miles. So far, I am happy with my 3rd ram.

01. 5 with 3,300 miles on it ... never driven in the winter, nothing hauled in the bed,no scraches or rock dings... . Mint, always garaged ... and a 12 valve 97 with 13,000 miles the same as above.....

Now I'm up to 323,000 miles.

still going strong.

Don't ask which parts have been replaced, the list is long, but with the miles and the years considered, it's a great truck !
