175,000

175,000 miles with an injector pump at 92,000 miles and clockspring at 173,000 miles. Don't want to talk about the transmission. DWest

190k 2vps (that I know of), one with fass one before fass, 1 cam sensor, 1 crank sensor. rebuilt the NV4500 last year and installed a SBDD at the same time when the stock clutch went south. Other than that just the normal U joint's, ball joints, brakes, rotors, tires, etc etc... Never going to worry about another vp failure... 1k on the p-pump & mechanical lift pump. :-laf

Just got my '99 on Sat. 130k. Don't know how old the LP or IP are, but it appears the head has been off somewhat recently. Head bolts and exhaust manifold gaskets look pretty new.

I put 325,000 miles on my old '01 HO/6 speed that now belongs to my daughter and son-in-law. It has 350,000 on it now and still runs fine, uses only a quart of oil in 10,000 miles, and produces excellent power. I drive it occasionally.

It had one VP-44 replacement early in it's lifetime by mistake due to a mistaken diagnosis. Also has had two lift pumps, two water pumps, and one head gasket. It has had Bosch 275hp motorhome injectors since 16,000 miles and I always ran it at 1300* - 1325* on the pyro when pulling long grades loaded, and often in 6th gear at 1600 rpm.

I consider those 24 valve electronic engines bullet proof.

I'm at 192K towing miles and everything is ok even the original lift pump. I just rebuilt the transmission-- the torque converter was starting to go.

84,614 today and the truck just gets driven to haul building materials and tools for the most part. I have on occasion taken it for vacation to Florida and Texas. Any other time it sits in the climate controlled garage. No failures yet.

194,000 and counting. Replaced VP-44 at 185,000. My truck is not a show truck. I USE and ABUSE my truck. It still looks great, but it has been drove hard and put up wet!!

2001 2500 6 speed has 174000 now

right tire ball joint, all new tie rod in front, track bar, 2nd lift pump, vp44, master and slave cylinder, throwout bearing, alternator,

210,000

2001 Auto

1 Injection pump at around 185,000

bunch of lift pumps before going to Fass

oilpan and most other thin steel bolt-ons were recently replaced.

No other major problems. Regular care and feeding, a steady diet of rotella, oil pressure is still like the day it was new, strong as the day it was new.
