2 lift pumps before I hit 100k. Had the dealer move it to the fuel tank on the second failure. I got Dodge to pay 50% due to their loosy design. No problems after that.

Just last week had the front end rebuilt.

Great truck. I have abused the grap out of it with heavy loads (2500 lbs in the bed), logging roads and it just keeps on going. I have made several deadhead runs from Portland, Or to Austin, Tx with loads and it just keeps on going.

Hard to convince my better half I need to drop $50k on a new one.

miles

Got 110000 on our 05, 3500, 4x4, 6spd. We have had no problems with the Cummins, but the joint in the middle of the drive shaft had to be replaced under warranty. Knock on wood.

first month of 2002 2500 production in Mexico, 42k miles, 1 lift pump, 2 VP44's, freeze plug, radiator, A/C compressor. Only NEW car owned with more problems was an 1980 Peugeot 505!

BK If you did all of this in only 76k miles,YOU HAVE A LEMON. I've got over 160k and still on the orginal rear shoes, and just put on my 4th set of tires.

270,000 miles

Lift pump going out again. Bought a Fass 150, going to put it in tomorrow.

Bought some RV 275's, I'll get those in this spring, ... hopefully.

Exhaust has rusted out, wired up right now, looking at a 4" SS system.

I love that Cummins! Best part of the truck!!! I wouldn't want it with out it!!

I've broke 20 mpg on the highway, . . sometimes. Usually around 18 highway, + or - a little. Not bad for a 1 ton dually 4x4 w/ Michelin XPS traction tires.

I'm planning on keeping her.

Currently 139,000 ml. replaced the injection pump @ 127,000 . Race alot , tow alot , would'nt trade it for anything .

Just ready to roll over 300k on the clock, 2nd owner, and love it. Hard for me to leave it in the garage and drive the mini van when not towing the 5ver.

265000 now. Two replacement starters, one alternator, one $5 part for a/c, one ball joint, new clutch (due to throw-out bearing screaming). I tow a 14500 lb. rv approx 150,000 of the current miles, and ran approx. 25000 miles in 4-wd over 4-wd roads and trails. Do I like my Ram 3500? By the way, I have used that "crappy" Rotella religiously since the first oil change.

Forgot to mention--one new lift pump approx. 1-month after I started using ULSD.

I rolled over 100,000 a year ago. I am in the Navy and my work routine keeps my mileage down. I have had the following failures.

53,000 ABS chip cracked due to cold weather, -23 degrees.

73,000 Front left universal joint seized up.

85,000 Fuel Lift Pump failed.

100,000 Fuel Lift Pump failed.

01 now has 140,000

40,000 lift pump warranty
45,000 ball joints and had to ruin the front bearings to get the hubs off:mad:
105. 000 auto transmission shot
135,000 front cover leaking oil
139,000 lift pump
brakes about 7 sets on the front and about 6 sets on the rear
:{

Powerstoke in an 04 6. 0 Excursion
various sensors issues warranty
60,000 miles valve cover gaskets $$$

89 Ford F-450 always had to crank it twice to start it after 30,000 miles
5 transmissions in 100,000 miles and an injection pump

Best diesel I had was 1980 SRW 3500 Chevy you know the converted gas motor :-laf:-laf

8,000 miles head bolts stretched warranty
front brakes at 50,000 and rears at 75,000 :)
sold with 110,000
next owner drove it to 250,000 and never put a dime in the engine or transmission last I had heard.

Gee where has technology taken us?:--)#@$%!

I see you live in the middle of VA...

Nice open area's, great driving.
Been down through the East coast for business many times, been in VA more than just a few times. I love driving, once I get out of the tri-state metro area.

Ever drive on Long Island?
Through the NY metro area, towing, trying to get off the Island...
Never a good hour for it, and never fun, and hard on the tow vehicles I've had over the years.

Most of my local driving is all stop and go, no highway.

Truck is 11 years old, seems pretty common stuff looking that the lists of other folks. . A hard 77k miles, just had the transmission rebuilt, lost the 2nd gear band.

The brake wear typical with all the trucks I've been driving since the 70's is pretty common.

Wife was eating front rotors in an Altima in 15K miles traveling 5 miles each way to work... . lots of hills and stop signs.
Finally put a stop to that with slotted rotors and performance pads.

We call the streets "lollipop farms" ... each year new and more stop signs just keep popping up out of the ground.

Would have done it sooner to my truck, but since those rotors are the biggest PIA to change, I waited till I had to, and with 11years on the truck now, I did the front bearings while I was at it.
And now with the front bearings changed out for about 8monts or so, I can see the funny front tire wear isn't happening. . really did need them to be done a couple of years ago...

And no AC again, so probably another bad Evap... ... at least I got about 7 years out of the replacement, only got 3. 5 years out of the 1st one.

Can't even go camping to get away from the crowds any more...
#ad

Add another to the list...
Oh yea, just had the rear brake hardline rupture while in stop and go traffic... that was fun... .

100,725. Mostly from towing and hauling. Bought the beast new in 2000. Replaced the the weak front end components twice, the lift pump at 60K. Otherwise it's been trouble free.
