Big guys need big trucks. Of course, my petite wife used to drive an OTR Pete, go figure.
I used to work for UPS in the Raleigh hub back when. I also worked a day job so I changed clothes in the parking lot at UPS. At the time I drove a 73 Honda Civic CVCC - a bright yellow little buzz bomb that I barely fit in. People used to laugh when they saw me unfold and extract myself from that little car. I was 6-2" 250 at the time and had no body fat due to throwing boxes every night.
The shifter was real sloppy, which was fine. If it had been tight I would have had 1st buried in my thigh. 5th gear position was somewhere over in the passenger side front footwell. Had to be good friends with the passenger to attempt the shift to 5th.
My little brother (he ain't but just a little littler) went shoulder-to-shoulder window-to-window in the thing. Probably also exceeded the GVWR with the two of us in it. I never did try to crawl into the back seat - probably would have required the Jaws-of-Life to get me out.
Went from that to a 74 Scout and my old 78 W250. Still have both of them.
Now I stuff myself into the wife's Jaguar from time to time to keep some of the miles off of the CTD. Kinda reminds me of getting into the old Civic except for the leather, CD player, the ride, the power, etc.
If I can sit in the driver's seat and stick my hand out of the passenger window it is too small for my size guys.
