Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How much.....?

HP/TQ can one expect from the few adjustments (AFC,moving plate,waste gate) on a 97 215hp 2500/w3. 54 gears and a 5sp A friend of mine wants to start BOMBING but he doesnt want to get real crazy he dosent tow very ofton. I told him he should do the plate and AFC adjust ments and maybe think of 3000gsk then if he wants more injectors ,ect O YEA he allready has guages and a pac brake he's gonna get 4" and 3 piece manifolds (and move the pyro to the manifold) soon!!

He's one lucky boy Jason. That pump is sensitive to plate tweaks, as per Mark @ TST. Sliding the plate is 50 to 60hp, all by itself ... 100 free ft-lbs or so.



That will get him going for free. Have him go get the #11 & plop it in 3/4 of the way forward. Clutch will be fine & he will just keep a shap eye on the EGT.

I dynoed my truck with just the stock plate, boost elbow and the star wheel adjusted and pulled a 283RWHP. I was happy with that for a while.

Now I have 400 HP and that starting to feel at little weak.
