A buddy of mine bought a 2001 truck in the USA and needs to have daytime running lights to pass inspection. Is it an easy thing like a simple plug'n'play box?

Is it possible to "borrow" mine to pass???:-laf

Thanks in advance.

I don't know how to do the factory DRL setup, but it sure would be easy to set up a relay to run DRLs. All you would have to do would be to install a normally closed switch onto the parking brake in such a manner that when the parking brake was pushed it would interrupt the circuit. Then run a relay to the low beams and use switched ignition for signal. That way when you turn the key on, low beams come on. When you engage the parking brake, they go off.
