When I first bought my truck I thought I might have a one wheel drive rear differential:mad:. But lately When I'm coming home and I get on my gravel road and get on it, it shows both wheels are shootin out the gravel. One side a little more than the other. Does this mean I may have a limited slip rear end?;) Maybe? How can I tell for sure? Thanks fellow ISB owners. Really appreciate this forum and everyone on it

If you are shooting gravel from both sides, you most likely have LS. It would be just one side if you didn't. To be sure, you will have to look down at the rear diff cover at the numbers that are on the right side of the back on the cover. Post those up and someone (not me) will know how to decode it. If I remember correctly, it will show gear ratio as well as limited slip or not.

In the old days you could just jack up one tire. Take the trans out pf park, block the truck so it won't roll. If it would turn - no. If it didn't turn - Yes

If you have a flat floor or driveway, and a floor jack with wheels, just jack up one wheel and see if the truck will move with the other.

... or, try to turn the wheel which is raised off the ground by hand. It will show a bit of resistance. I also agree with AKAMAC, there should be a sticker in the glove box.

Also check the diff cover for the stamped tag that tells you to use limited slip additive. It is a small aluminum tag under one of the cover bolts on the passenger side (on mine anyway).

Thank you everyone... ... . I just got back from out of town. Will do as soon as I have the chance after work
