The Dodge in question in the TripleLok thread started by KGoode, chauffered me all around Denver for a week. I can't personally attest to the HP figures (I was at the shop that day, trying to help finish Eric's truck so we could come home), but it's a strong truck, pulls very hard. It has a PowerEdge Comp in it. The rest of what's in there, call them if you want to know. Mark Kendrick, to answer your comment, the torque convertor in that truck can handle far more than most people would believe. I know. I saw it up close,in a disassembled demonstration version, and I assembled several trannies and valve bodies while I was there, as well as the one that's in Stack'd 'n' Jack'd, Eric's truck. I helped drive that one home from Colorado. Sweet.
Clint also had me drive his Ford on an errand. It's scary fast. Woohoo. (Yes, Clint, I promise I didn't hammer on it!!!) I didn't use even half the power it had available, I could definitely feel it. That's one funny Ford, for sure.
Numbers don't mean much. Seeing, driving, experiencing, that's where it's at. Once those guys at ATS put their trucks on the drag strip, a lot of people will go home crying.
The big deal here, is not the HP they got. The real deal is the clever diesel invention of the decade that lets them transmit that power to the ground.
