Guys, I'm wondering if before I start the Dynatrac install, can I remove the hub cap, drill the pilot hole, put he hub cap back on, and then drill the center out with a 4 1/4 hole saw? Will this work? Thanks! Mark

I would say that is one smart idea, wish I would have thought of it.

In the old days, all 4WD trucks looked like that. This is how 4WD front axles were made until the advent of the unit bearing and Ford's "stub hub".

They didn't stick out that far bro.

I'm 58 and have had 4wd trucks all my life. GM 3/4 and 1 tons(those big rugged spicer hubs, I thought they looked great) from '77 to '95 when I switched to Dodge. They stuck out, but no where's near the way they do on our Dodges thanks to the wheel offset.
