The heater/ac fan in our 06 stopped working yesterday. Fuses all check out. Any suggestions before shop time?

I’m not that familiar with the 3rd Gen interiors, but I would start by removing any covers where you can see the bottom of the blower motor. Turn it on and bump it with something solid and see if it comes on. If so, you may be able to remove it and inspect it. I’ve had mine get dust and debris built up between the cage and the motor that causes enough drag it will not run or build up enough heat it will quit. You’ll need to pull the cage off. Remove the spring clamp then gently pry on two sides at the same time. I use a couple of those short, flat pry bars. If that doesn’t fix it you’ll need to replace it.

Start by a wiggle test on the blower motor connector as it may be going bad(wearing gloves as the wires can get hot from high resistance connections). Do you have 12v at the blower motor on high speed setting? The motor has 2 connectors: 12v and a ground wire plug. If you have 12v on the motor connectors it's locked up or burned out including sticking or shot brushes. Replace the resistor pack when you have a motor failure as they overheat from no airflow if the motor locked up. Rare cases the resistor pack is ok, but, having one on hand saves a trip.

Check the resistor pack connector for corroded wires or burnt off insulation and inspect the resistor itself for a crack. Generally the resistor pack is not a factor for high speed not working. They are known to crack and fail and have a revised design.

Next the ignition switch carries the full blower motor current and is known to burn up the switch and connector.

Repair kits for the blower motor wires ONLY and complete wiring harnesses (for resistor pack wire and connector failure) are available from MOPAR. IDK about the ignition switch side of the harness.

Key switch. On the 3rd gen trucks they run the blower power supply through the ignition key switch. Over time ether the switch fails and or the plug connection overheats and fails. RAM sells a plug connection repair kit. It’s a pain in the ... to do but it’s the only true fix. Autozone should have the switch in stock.
