Again where getting back to, All testing done under full throttle!
Not very relivent in day to day driving where 99% of the driving is done by most all rammers.
I do not disagree that back pressure inhibits power.
It is only a problem at full throttle.
The soggy performance I experienced is due to two things, the lower operating rpms and lack of boost at those rpms.
I had plenty of fuel as shown by the black fender on my truck, the trail of smoke, and poor fuel economy when I tried to tow in double overdrive.
It was nesecary to tow in fith, and keep the rpms at 2300 or higher.
The lack of boost is caused by too large a turbine housing for the size of the engine and rpms at which the are run.
Hopefully the 16cm2 equipped HX40 will be the sweet deal.
Time will tell.
