well, i did my front brakes today. The left caliper was frozen and i ran the right side into the metal. Killed the rotor. I thought the rotor job would be tough, but it wasnt. I used my aircraft rivit gun with a flat set and drove the studs right out. I cant imagine what they would charge to do 2 new rotors at a shop. If you are thinking about trying it yourself , go for it. Its not that bad. I also put on the EGR calipers and brake lines. PITA. There is really no reason the lines couldnt have been made to be a direct replacement IMO. Instead you have to use their brackets, bend your hard lines ect. Pointless. Now my question. Is there a way to get the rears to auto adjust again or not. And if not, is there a scientific way to adjust the rears?? I am afraid i am going to tighten them too much, but i can tell my fronts hit WAY before the rears... . RRR

Park it on a flat surface, chock the front wheels.

Jack up the rear, both wheels at once.

Place it in neutral, and take the emergency brake off.

Remove the rubber plugs from the backing plate. Rotate the tires while tightening the star adjuster. I do mine every oil change, and I usually need 4-6 clicks.

When you feel (or hear) slight dragging, do the other side.

You'll also notice that the emergency brake is much higher and firmer now besides it stopping better. :D
