Sorry Mark!

So Marty, is that a 93 engine with a P-pump conversion and a O-ringed head? Or did you put a whole other motor in?

How do you do a P-pump conversion? Is it basically just a bolt up swap? I've skimmed over a few post's about it, and saw where people had bought parts. "Looks" like all you have to do is buy a new timing gear case and it bolts on?

Also what kind of clutch were you running in that monster! :D

And what's your next CTD gonna be?

Mark, yes, it was the original First Gen motor.

The truck only had 60K original miles & the thought of buying one that I didn't know the history just didn't appeal to me.

It's a very expensive conversion unless you have a 2nd gen core laying around. Many parts have to be changed... injectors, injector lines, throttle linkage gear cover, cam gear etc etc.

Piers did this conversion & I just decided that I didn't care what it costed... I wanted the most reliability & power & that meant P-pump!

Everybody has their own idea of what a First Gen truck is & I had absolutely no problem installing a p-pump & calling this truck a First Gen. I consider it a much bigger sin running propane than changing the device that injects the fuel. Why would it be less of a sin changing turbo's for example?

The clutch is a South Bend FE & it's lite for this application.

I think a twin disc is the answer but I've heard so many problems with them that I was hoping they'd get all the bugs worked out of them before I needed one.

Next project... . well I have a company truck on the way so I'm apprehensive to do too much crazy stuff to it but it's not in my nature to drive it stock! :-laf

Yeah I knew that the injectors and lines had to be changed, forgot to add that in my post. DOH! :-laf Are 2nd Gen Injectors & lines just a simple bolt on in this case?

That's a very AWSOME very BEAUTIFUL truck you built, and Ryan is a lucky guy to have it. If I had spent that much time, hard work, and MONEY into building a great truck like that I couldn't bring myself to part with it though! :-laf

Grrrrreat 'Hot Rod' Dodge/Cummins! Do we need a "poster child" for our forum? Ryan's truck qualifies-Done. Patrick.
