Msrp on the Ford was 62k with I had to pay because people are stupid and will pay those rediculous prices.

It's a nice truck. But not that nice. I've read that depending on how the user drives it, it is a 100k-200k mile truck.

If I wanted a ford and wanted to be first off the line, I'd get a mustang

No way. Hey I know I’m a Mopar fanatic, but just on roominess, the Challenger has it. Ever sit in a new Stang? Forget the Camaro!

I drove a Trackhawk was that Nice, Wife wanted Summit So thats what happened. The Summit pictured comes with SRT Driveline , Air Suspension, With Hemi and its fast .

Everyone demands Pictures So here they are. I have No idea why the site flips the pictures

Huh. Never heard of Summit. I guess it’s like a SRT Durango? The trackhawk is outta site in price.
Try editing your pictures by rotating them and resaving them. I haven’t had a problem.

I tried that, Wayne Go drive one, The Summit in all around speed and comfort is Awesome.

Its By far the best Personal vehicle I've ever owned, I like it better then our 2014 392 Charger.

TC, I’ll be afraid to take that for a spin. The ‘14 RT Durango is just fine, and with Max Care on it, it’s covered for the long run.
I’d like to add a 392 Char or Chal to the fleet someday though.

I was looking at the Durango also, Still may get one this Year. I tell Ya the Summit is well designed and solid. Crawl under one with the SRT DL with Air ride its stunningly designed well and the aero mode even in the heaviest rain and wind is phenomenal.

There is actually an episode of the Truck Show Podcast (a Motortrend spin-off) where a Ford engineer pretty much admitted that the F-150's were built for 100k-150kmile/ 10 year service lives....."Built Ford Tough, but make sure you sell it before the 10 year mark."

Now, I don't know that the Ram 1500 and GM counterparts are necessarily are longer-lasting by comparison; I think most 1/2-ton makers (excepting Toyota) design their trucks to be used and then junked within a short term. The 3/4 ton's from all 3 domestic OEM's definitely seem to be better-built and longer-lasting by comparison.

And, despite my dislike for some of Ford's design choices, I think that new Mustang GT350 with the 5.2l v8 is one bada## mofo of a sports car.

Our 2010 Ram 1500 has I think just shy of 130K on it as we speak. Everything is original in the running gear except for both front hubs and a right front CV shaft.

As far as the engine goes, it needed rings before 100k due to extreme oil consumption. I wasn't pleased to say the least. Still have that truck and my wife is driving it daily. But, I'm not happy with that type of issue at a relatively low mileage point.

I've seen similar issues with other 1/2 ton's. That's partly why I'm a Toyota fan. Their midsized and 1/2 ton trucks just seem to be somewhat over-built compared to the domestic offerings. The Tundra especially so, but the 5.7l on that truck is a thirsty pig.

The domestic 3/4 ton's, at least the modern ones, seem to be well-built. I'm just not that impressed with how the OEM's design their 1/2 ton's and midsized 4x4's.
