This is why JyRO is so ssssllllllooooowwww....
When I bought my truck, I planned on having it for at least 10 years. I've had it for over 4 years now (57k miles) and it still seems new to me. And since I bought it, I told myself I was going to keep it in the kind of shape that would help it sell quickly and easily if I changed my mind. Along with that came the thoughts of loosing whatever money I put into it along the way. So I've been real slow and bought items as cheaply as I could. I've got about $750 into mine. That includes:
Bed mat - $125
RV275 injectors - $100 used from TDR
EZ - $475 new
MEK - $50, new from a TDR guy who couldn't use his.
I paid mine off in April '03. I've already saved enough money to pay off my 4Runner, but just decided to hold on to my cash for now ... and that cash has grown. Now I've got a whole mess of cash. I'm looking at moving from MI. to AL. in a couple months and may need that cash for the next house or something.
Could I afford a new one? Heck yeah! Will I? Heck no. Mine's doing nothing but helping me save money, and doing everything I want it to do in the meantime (towing mass and hauling a$$)

. I'm making about as much h. p. as the stock clutch can hold. Why mess with a good thing?
If the new 600 Cummins tows as well as mine does now, you know what bombs I'd add to it? Probably none. Who knows? I wonder what the specs are for the 2015 Cummins trucks?
