Shortshift - I really appreciate your post! A baseline IS what tells the tale, but only one tale - and there are many horses out there. And that's the point! Anyone who knows anything about baselining, knows that they are most meaninful for the environment in which they occur and are used for showing trends over time. If the numbers start changing radically - look for the source. This is a great discussion!

HOT DIGGITY!

THIS ONE'S GOING INTO OVER TIME...

Didn't mean to "flame" ya ShortShift... more a rehtorical q about flow and potentially dirty flow.

Shortshift, You scientific approach seemed very thorough, flawless perhaps. . then suddenly it occured to me, what if the wind shifted causing the neighbors dog to bark thus reacting to the nervous system of the lady down the street, (who has silicone), enhancing an allready high PPM of the unadulterated silicones within the exchange of negative ions that coexist within an otherwise perfect testing situation. It would seem to me that the whole f_____g world would implode and my tax refund would NEVER arrive. Thus I would not be able to afford a KN supurb filration system for my Briggs & Stratton. Life ain't fair!

Shortshift. . drop me an E-mail. . I'm in So. CA. too! Do not post as I might get beat up by some radical group of scientists! SCARY #ad

Aloha Koa Man! Your oil filter question might be answered by doing a search on the Amsoil remote oil filter setup.

I hear it is supposed to filter out the really small stuff. Would be interesting to see the difference in oil samples between that and a stock filter.
