unforftunately, I no sooner pulled away from your driveway and the check engine light was on again. I hope to have my own code reader soon and will go from there. The crazy thing is, before the vp44 went bad just before thanksgiving, it run better than it ever did. then it simply would not start. I have a hunch that i need to hook up a resistor to fool the computer into thinking that my old lift pump is still connected. I have a new pump run off a relay controled by the backup circuit.
