So i put a fass platinum 150 fuel pump on and now my fuel pressure bounces from 12 to 17 on both mechanical and digital gauges. ive dropped the tank to check the screen and replaced filters. it plumed from the tank to an inline filter, to the fass, then up to the stock filter and then the vp. Is the check ball and spring bad? thanks for the help. btw its on a 2000 24v.

I have the same problem, mine turned out to be that when I hook up the gauge the ground wasn't hooked up correctly. Because of this whenever I turn my lights on the pressure would go up and when I would turn them off it would drop.

fuel pressure

put a fass on mine drove it for approx 300 miles before the pressure stabelized i finally concluded there was air in the line somewhere even after loosing fittings and trying to get air out nothing worked so i just drove it finally stable.
