Yeah as close as a 62 to a 66!![]()
I had not realized that. Still thinking I am driving an 03 I guess. So with an 05 what is really gained with a PS62? If its just added strength and you want a noticeable change in EGT's then the 66 makes more since if you have 04. 5 or newer.jwilliams3 said:62mm compressor on 04. 5-06 stock

if the OEM turbo has a 62mm inducer, and someone is selling another "high performance" turbo also with a 62mm inducer, how are we supposed to know if it is any better without the compressor trims for both turbos and a map for both?
jwilliams3 said:Guys thats just an inducer size.
You are forgetting about the turbine wheel sizes and housing sizes.
Stock turbine wheel size on an HE351 is a joke. Its in the low 50's, looks really TINY! and has a SMALL 9cm housing to back it up.
I ran a B1 with the 62mm inducer and 60mm turbine wheel (approx), 12cm exhaust housing.
That turbo was a GREAT improvement over the stock unit! Spool up was great, it ran better on the top end and spooled like mad when you hit the go pedal.
I imagine the SPS62 runs about the same if not better since it is basically using the same parts and has improvements machined into the exhaust housing.
A SPS62 would be a great improvement over any stock turbo.
In additon a SPS62mm on a 04. 5-2006 will result in a drop of 200* EGT wise.
