I have a 64. Don't have it on yet, they didn't send a downpipe with it. I was in the 62 isn't enough, 66 will surge boat, so they sent me a 64 to try. Anyways, I'll post an update when I get it on and try it out.

I would like to try the 62mm version.

I would still like to know how the turbine and shaft compares to that of a HX40.

my guess is that they will hide behind their NDA!!

62mm compressor on 04. 5-06 stock
I had not realized that. Still thinking I am driving an 03 I guess. So with an 05 what is really gained with a PS62? If its just added strength and you want a noticeable change in EGT's then the 66 makes more since if you have 04. 5 or newer.

hmmm now that is interesting!!!

if the OEM turbo has a 62mm inducer, and someone is selling another "high performance" turbo also with a 62mm inducer, how are we supposed to know if it is any better without the compressor trims for both turbos and a map for both?

Good point. I had never thought about that. So, are these vendors selling empty promises and snake oil?

I have often wondered if many of the performance products in general have any actual benefitial effect or not. Not to say these turbos don't, just in a general basis.

Guys thats just an inducer size.

You are forgetting about the turbine wheel sizes and housing sizes.

Stock turbine wheel size on an HE351 is a joke. Its in the low 50's, looks really TINY! and has a SMALL 9cm housing to back it up.

I ran a B1 with the 62mm inducer and 60mm turbine wheel (approx), 12cm exhaust housing.

That turbo was a GREAT improvement over the stock unit! Spool up was great, it ran better on the top end and spooled like mad when you hit the go pedal.

I imagine the SPS62 runs about the same if not better since it is basically using the same parts and has improvements machined into the exhaust housing.

A SPS62 would be a great improvement over any stock turbo.

In additon a SPS62mm on a 04. 5-2006 will result in a drop of 200* EGT wise.

Exactly my point!!!

Just stating the inducer size on the compressor is worthless info.

Vendors need to wake up... . give up the info!!!

I towed 10k with my SPS 66 the other day and played around on some of the hills around my house and I had to turn the tst way down to make the turbo more driveable... I would not get the 66 if you tow anything heavy...

But it was nice going from 65mph to 80mph pulling up the hill WOT and only hitting 1250egt's... . This turbo is like a 2 stroke engine its either on our off. .

It is so easy to bark this turbo ,its almost impossible to let the throttle off slow enough to keep it from barking,It just spools and builds boost so quick :D :D

2 strokes rule and 4 strokes DROOL!!!

<< Open class 2 stroke freak. KTM380EXC, ATK406XC, KX500 are my steeds. I do have one 4 stroke, a ATC350X(being bored to 390 as we speak:).
