Im sure phat shaft max would be acceptable. I personally dont think Phat Shaft stroker is offensive, but Im sure someone would.

I would personally prefer to say I have a "Super Phat Shaft 66 Turbo" than I would say I have a "phat shaft cummins turbo". most people would think that was something like a "big cam cummins".

Just dont name it "phat shaft cummer" and you'll be safe.

Sorry I missed that one. May be I should post in the normal hours that people should be awake. I am thinking about Phatmax and Phatstoker as names. What do you think? Thanks, Brady

sounds good to me,phat max is cool but phat stroker--we need to do something with, maybee phat stroke---yea i like that. what do you think brady? :-laf

I don't understand why you can't call it what it is and leave out the vehicle's name.

Are we concerned a Power Stroke guy will say he has a Phat Shaft turbo that might be for a Cummins application? IMO PS or SPS and the size- 62,64,66 works fine.

I agree, I think just the regular name is OK.

People that order would just have to be clear of what they drive.

I cant seem to come up with any Ford names that dont sound goofy:

Phat Ford Shaft

Stroker Phat Shaft

Phat shaft P. S.

Tough name to market - PowerStroke

What about

Phat Shaft Ferd

or

Phat Shaft Durasux

By the way...

Brett, can you tell us more about the Super Phat Shaft 64 i´ve heard some rumours about?

1 - because you are dealing with simpletins,

2 - because if they think they are getting a cummins turbo , they will think that they are going to get cummins power ,then who is going to tell them why there ride still sucks.

I do think you guys are right about PhatMax is OK but we are still shaping our PowerStroke name. I think that it's very important to get the name right. After all the bumper stickers that is out there, it will be a hard thing to say what we will end up with. Thanks, Brady

How about PS^2 (obviously written with the 2 as an exponent)?

This would stand for Phat Shaft Power Stroke, or PsPs, or PS x PS= PS^2.

Just a suggestion.

well guys i got my SPS64 on last week and i have been running it hard for the last week. and my first imppresion was that it didn't cool down my egt's at all. well a new AFE took care of some of it. next thing that i noticed was the surge at 30-40psi some times it draws out to 50psi. but if i turn the box on it goes away until you let off the pedal. and with the box on i still hit 1600 pre-turbo. injectors alone i hit 1100 pre-turbo. i like the turbo, but i thing i have too much fuel for it. maybe i will play with some nitrous... ... ... will this turbo hack nitrous? speak up brady or Shane.

Andy,

It'll take the nitrous just fine.

In fact it will take a lot of nitrous if needed. Do a chack on your dive pressure and see where you stand.

That turbo may do a little better jab if you open the gate a bit more ;)

Later,

Wes

Yeah, instal one of the "full" flow brass boost elbows that could let the wastegate open up sooner as mentioned in the above post.

Hey Andy if you ever take that head off again maybe you should make it a little lighter... open them holes up a little. Other than that how do you like it. I can't believe it didn't cool ya down any more than the dodgezilla. Notice any more power? If you get a good nos set-up keep me updated, I may be interested.

Corey

I think im gonna play with nitrous some time soon. i blew that Dodgezilla up  im thinking about comp461's setup, NO DONT JUMP DOWN MY THROAT GUYS! just a tought.

Well, the big singles (66-class chargers) on nitrous are a "proven" combo already.

Garmon's over 1000hp with a Sledpuller 66 and nitrous.
Comp461 is over 1000hp with a SPS71 and nitrous

I'd expect a SPS62 to support 800 on nitrous.

On the bottle, you'll never outgrow a 66-class charger (SP66 or SPS66).

Boy I hope, Cause I'd be happy and NEVER bomb again if I can crack 600hp ;)

Twins just are not in the budget when I need a DD clutch
