Competition Indy cancled ?????

Fascinating thread. I heard they may be going back to Muncie. Probably just a wild rumor. I liked that place much better though.

Muncie was better because it was a nice little venue and not jam packed with all the commercial BS. That and we could stay up all night and nobody harassed us... mostly because it was still small and we only mildly resembled an angry mob. (Sure, some folks got in trouble - but they deserved it. )



It was neat to see the DHRA event get big enough to fill IRP the first year, but after that things went downhill and it got too big and some folks got too greedy.

At Muncie the stands were packed for the sled pulls in the evening. Sometimes they went till 1 AM. At IRP it looks like there are only 10 people in the stands (must be more) just does not seem like it !

From what I hear, all the heavy hitters are going to the Comp D Invitational 5/17 in Steele AL

Our plan is to go. With FASS sponsoring us and the event, we need to be there to support them. In addition, we normally do a Cummins plant display the day before... . Handy, as it is only 60 miles south to Columbus.

This event is not cancelled, nor is it going to be smaller by any means. More is planned than ever, keep your eyes on the DHRAonline.com website. We look forward to seeing everyone there again!

I am not disputing whether it is cancelled or not, I am just relaying what I have heard. Several big hitters are not planning on going. Take it for what it is worth. Things can change by the hour though.
