Injection pumps

Has anyone ever gotten a bad one ? I thought maybe the injection lines were plugged but I pulled the first set and they are not plugged

@SAndreasen , I may be wrong, but it seems that this pump project has been posted by you on two or three threads now. If so, we would need a complete, condensed history of what has been done to offer any help.

To answer your question, ANY component has the potential to have a problem (new or re-manufactured), but it is usually not the case. I personally don't know of anyone who has received a bad pump, but people on forms like this one have reported getting a bad pump.

Not a VP but I got a new aftermarket VE that was junk. I was livid, they are a mean R&R. However, there was no doubt, it was not a hidden failure.

I got a bad one once, wouldn't pump any fuel at all after install. Sent it back and they sent me a new one. I asked what was wrong with it, they said it didn't pump on the bench either and they put it back in line to be rebuilt. Never found out what was wrong with it. They didn't too have much sympathy for me having to do the job twice.

I’ve done 5 or 6 of these pumps and never got a bad one yet but I think I finally have a bad one . I have fuel to it and power and ground to the pump thought maybe I was losing one or the other while cranking but that’s not the case . Thought I had plugged fuel lines because I had a dribble of fuel at the pump but more research reveals that not to be the case either . I called the company and all they could say was well did you bleed it ? Does the horn work . Ya I’ve done a bunch of pumps I know how to bleed injectors there isn’t any fuel at the injectors . I was stupider after making the call than before which is a pretty hard thing to achieve and yes Mr phone helpline guy the horn works and I’ve bled on this thing for long I need to replace the starter . I’ve had these be super hard to bleed so figured maybe it still had air in it . And yes I have a fuel pressure gauge and no that isn’t the problem

those batteries are temporary actually came out of a tractor that I need to overhaul the engine in . I need to go through and redo all the wiring to the batteries on both my trucks

They should pay fair shop rate for doing the job twice .

This is the project that won’t die for sure . I called rhe place I bought the pump from and all he could say was that it was my problem well Mr pump guy I have everything I need to make it run and no fuel to the engine . Now I’m trying to find the credit card receipt to figure out where I got the pump from and when so I can send it back

I hate these batteries the posts sit down below the top of the case and yes I have arced a few in my day
