After changing out my VP I couldnt get my injector lines to reseal @ the head end. On TDR advice I purchased new feed tubes and O rings and even new lines just to save a trip. All the new parts are installed I torqued the lines to 35ft lbs and then tightened all the retainer clamps. The lines still leak.

Mostly after shut down. What am I doing wrong?

Recheck the torque specs: My recollection is fuel tube torque is 28 ft lbs. Overtightening can cause the tubes ends to crush into the injectors and leak. Also, the fuel lines need to be square into the tubes as well.

I May have fixed it. I as a last ditch effort tried retorking a little looser with all the mounting hard ware loose. I thought what the heck tighter wasn't doing the trick. A i think that did it.

Now though, after my last test drive I noticed My LP pressure was droppig down to about 5psi intermittently. I rechecked it with the engine not running back in the garage. and was able to reproduce the problem. I changed out the PSI reliefe valve on the VP and had the same intermittant low PSI again. sounds like the LP is cavitating.

Do they do that when they go bad.
