Does an injector pump that is going bad make any kind of noise?

It will sound pretty much normal... Seems like when an injector pump dies, it takes one of two routes. The first, is that it will be a slow, degenerative process, eventually resulting in a no-start condidtion. The other, is that it'll just crap out all of a sudden, with no warning. Prime killer of the VP44 is fuel pressure, as diesel is used to lube and cool the pump. So get your fuel pressure tested under LOAD! #ad
