I just had all 6 replaced on my 06 with 55k, 3 of them were bad. they said i should be changing my filter more but i have always changed them sooner than thenthe 15k mark. I guess a fass or airdog is in my near future.
102,000 and 2400. 00 for new stock sticks this is the WORST cummins I have ever had. I have fought a "miss" for 50,000. Change one or two and it gets better for a while but goes bad again. From here on out I buy used pickups 02 or older or they get a 12V
03 6pd dually, 3 bad injectors,no start situation, dealer covered under warranty at aprox51k miles. 18 % POLL sounds like cummins has a recall problem to me, however I've learned that recalls only happen when there's a safty issue not just ticked off owners at a built in problem$$$$
Some of the threads are aimed at Cummins, and alot are aimed at dealers not repairing under warranty for one excuse or another. Regardless, a 1 out of 5 problem with the fuel delivery system, looks like the engine manufacturer to me!
None on the 04. 5 yet at 90,000 miles but the 05 had all six replaced (at 59,000) because of injectors bypassing to much fuel to start or run. All six are headed Don M's way to be rebuilt and modded.
No more injectors replaced w/ 65K on the odo BUT it smokes like an old diesel upon startup. Probably leaking fuel... . Sent oil sample to Blackstone to confirm. Still waiting for results.
