Well, a buddy of mine has some dp 90hp injectors he wants to sell me. i'm going to install fass or something similar before installing the injectors, but my question is, will my stock clutch hold up or should i think about upgrading it. i am going to upgrade it eventually anyway, but i can't really afford to do it all at once right now and i hate to let these injectors pass by. what do you think? and what about the stock turbo? i pull very little, and when i do its probably only 6-8K.

I'm surprised it is holding the right now with the comp. My stock clutch started to slip towing with the banks box only. My OFE holds great with the injectors and smarty in the picture!

So I guess the answer is NO!

It won't hold. What you could do is go ahead and buy the injectors but don't put themin just yet. Then you can save up for a clutch and do them at the same time. I am waiting on my clutch to come in now because the Juice toasted mine. Randy

ok, if thats the case, any reccomendations for a clutch? i dont want anything too extreme, and want good drivablilty as this is a daily driver, but something that will hold up to the extra power. anyone know anything about a ZVT clutch?

I would buy a clutch that will hold for where you want to be power wise and what you plan to do with your truck. Then go from there.

Put the injectors in and take it easy on the Comp, when you upgrade the clutch, I would either go with a South Bend Con-O or OFE, I like mine! I ran all my mods except the injectors with the stock clutch towing 10K, but I was real careful!!!

Maybe my truck just doesnt make the power it should with the mods I have but on my 02 HO with a Comp and 80hp injectors my clutch does not slip. I was ready for it to slip when I added the comp and it didnt. So i threw in some injectors and it still doesnt slip. With the comp on 5x5, it will get EGTs in the 1400 degree range without even getting to WOT. So, your clutch might not slip even though everyone says it will because mine did not, (yet).

Put some sticks with it and just see how it does. You'll be ok as long as you don't push it in the upper gears when the strain on the clutch obviously gets greater. Definitely stick with a South Bend - you'll only have to buy one and that's what makes it worth it.
