My question for you is where are you getting your information? Do you have a manual or is it available on line?
Mike,

I have a factory service manual on CD purchased through Chrysler's TechAuthority website. It's the new web based manual that can only be viewed using Internet Explorer under the Windows OS. I hate this format and wish it was like the old PDF manuals, but having something is better than nothing.

You can access the same factory service manual (and much more) through a subscription on the TechAuthority website. Subscriptions are available as follows:

3 day - $35
30 day - $250
1 year - $1800

The service manual on CD was $134.99 + shipping.

Good luck,

John L.

Well that will be a no brainer. Think I will forego the annual price. I have a Mac computer that reads a lot of PC Windows material but I don't know if it will work for the CD. If I understand you correctly, the cd only operates on that system. PDF files are no problem for my computer. I bought a Haines for the 2004.5 and have opened once to see what is covered. May need it in the future though.

Got everything back together today but the wire I thought might be the one I needed does not power up with the light switch. I am going to PM Essy to ask if he can find out where his mechanic tapped into the loom. Trying to get to the module in the upper left corner is going to take a contortionist...or someone much younger than I. Which anymore is just about everyone.

ESSY was unable to help with my request so I will have to look an answer elsewhere. Maybe I can post a new question to see if Sag or Cerb can help.

Also, after looking at the picture John posted, I am thinking that the second picture in my instructions might be the back side of the module but I will have to do the disconnect of the parking brake and drop the BCM down to where I can see it better. Or maybe I can get a mechanics mirror up there to see if the wire I am looking for is there.

BTW...is Cerb, Sag or Bobs 4x4 following this? Could sure use some help figuring out where to connect the clearance light hot wire.

Mike,

Getting a three day pass on TechAuthority.com (so you can view the wiring diagrams and connector locations) might be a good idea. I'd want to know exactly where this L77 circuit runs and what connector(s) it's attached to. Knowing this could help locate it.

Joe. I could get to the site but could not open the wiring file. No matter. I went back to my basics and after not being able to locate the wire referred to in the directions, I noticed that I could access the head light wiring loom from the side of the dash where I had removed the panel. Stripped the wire loom cover and checked wires with the switch powered up and found one that works. Stripped that wire and soldered the new wire and taped everything back up. Done deal and the truck is back together. Whew!!! What a job. Don't recommend this for light hearted. Now I just hope that no CEL's pop up because of how I wired the lights. Nothing so far. Thanks to all who helped.

It was my understanding that the lights were plug and play! That there is a plug on the right side of the cab where you just plug into. Because all the trucks came prewired for the clearence lights! Is this not true?

I wish I could be of more help! Sorry!!!

Will take a picture today. I was thinking of doing that anyway since I added several items since purchase. But I thought maybe folks were tired of looking at my thread here and I would post a new thread with the completed project.

For ESSY, no, I do not know of or have seen anything on the passenger side but I did not look either. The instructions cover multiple years for wiring and the earlier trucks, gen 3 up to 2012, all were wired under the hood. Gen 4 2013 up are wired inside and on one of the electrical panels on the driver side. I just could not find the correct panel or location.

Kind of odd to me was that when I powered the truck back up, all my settings were still there, even the seat belt chime was still off and the radio station was the same. Both batteries were disconnected so I don't know how that happened but it was a pleasant surprise. I noticed the rear interior light was on and learned that it has a push on function like the front lights. Nice to know. Probably in the manual and I just overlooked that.
