I'm in the process of installing a new OEM clutch master/slave cylinder. It came in 2 pieces for easy installation. I'm having a problem with where the 2 pieces connect together. It's not like the old one. There’s a white plastic sleeve that moves on the male end of the connector and I'm not sure what this sleeve is for. When I connect the 2 pieces together it seems okay but not sure. If I try to pull it apart it holds just fine. If I move the white plastic sleeve down and slide it into the female connector the 2 pieces come apart. Is the white sleeve used as a way to separate the 2 parts? The sleeve is removable. Should I remove it and connect the 2 parts and be done with it or leave it on. I guess I'm worried that the sleeve might work its way down and cause the two parts to separate over time.
