I got the after turbo kit from DIS and I was looking over the pyro install and to say the least, I'm a bit puzzled. The pyro sensor looks like it installs by screwing in the nut around it, then pushing the sensor all the way in. The sensor is about 5" long, way longer than the exhaust pipe where it is to be installed.

Has anyone installed theirs post turbo?

If it's anything like the VDO pyro, then you have to drill and tap the downpipe, then screw in the pyro adapter thing ( looks like a reducer with a hole through the middle for the sensor), then insert the sensor to the adapter with the supplied nut. The VDO sensor was fairly long, but still fit in the downpipe.

You don't push the sensor all the way in. The nut that you are talking about is a compression fitting. You want the sensor to be halfway into the exhaust pipe. Once you screw the fitting into the elbow then push the sensor in until it hits the other side of the pipe, then back it out halfway, then tighten up the compression fitting.

I also got my guage from DIS with the long thermocouple. I know I had mentioned it was for post turbo. Being late one evening when I installed it, I did not bother calling DIS. I did mine just like Steve suggested. The BD brake with the hole already there maked for an easy install.
