The dealer replaced the front axle actuator assembly. One fault code that was on the front axle disconnect.
The part for the antilock brake system is on back order.
I send thanks to the responses on the original post steering me to the actuators . Being 1500 miles from home & towing with drivetrain issues in not a comfortable spot to be in.
The internet & knowledgeable participants have no boarders in sharing their knowledge in our increasingly complicated modes of transport. My subscription to TurboDieselRegister paid for itself many times over on this one.
