Competition Absolute best IRP quote...

Competition DHRA ups the purse money for the points series pulls...

Anyone heard the results yet? I heard it was called on the count of rain, but I wonder what kind of times were run? Anyone know yet?

Go over to CompetitionDiesel.com and you can get most of what happened. I see here most are pullers. Our interest is drag racing.

P. S. Keating make sure you hang on to that slip, because we all know how easy it is to lose them :-laf

Sorry - the U-haul had the best reaction on Sat. but on Sunday I had a . 003 reation time and have the slip to prove it

Drag Racing question:

I have a question that is probably dumb, but educate me gently ;-)

on the lane scoreboard, they showed a number right after takeoff. Is that 10ths of a second? 1. 15 for example. 1. 15 would be a reaction time of 1. 15/10ths of a second?

Thanks in advance. I am trying to learn more about the drag stuff. Some times it would be 20. 58 or something.

i hope to see you guys real soon. keep up the good work

With the pro street trucks what makes that delay between the 1st and 2nd gear shift? It seems like off the light as if the trucks are slow then around the 60 foot mark they take off like a bat out of hell?

Yes that is their reaction time. Many scoreboards only show two digits behind the dot so a 1. 14 on the board would be a . 114 reaction time.

Not sure what you are seeing. I know most of these trucks 60 foot in the 1. 5 to 1. 6 range.

I think some of what you are seeing is quality of hook (or a lack thereof).

Preston, I guess your right. Cuz just thinking of it Morrison and the other 4WD trucks hooked up and went when the light went.

That's a sweet photo! I noticed on one of stuckeys saturday runs that his wheels left the ground a good 5"+

Palmer was on it period! every run was a great run. Did you see Darron's cylinder head after his first run? Broken along every exhaust port where it meets the manifold. What causes that?
