Guys and Gals,

Has anyone compared the LF16035 of fleetguard to the Bosch 3520 oil filters? I have a friend that has a few of these filters and I just don't know if they are as good as my fleetguard filters. I need to know if I need to advise him to quit using them. Looking at his oil after changing, it looks fine but looks can be deceiving. I am hoping that it is a decent filter because he still has six of them in the shop. Thanks for the help in this matter.

there was a oil filter review in the tdr magazine a little while ago issue 70 or 71 that compared all the filters by number of pleats price and a few other things. i use a wix because it had the best review in that article, but bosch is a reputable brand and i wouldnt hesitte to use one especially if it was free. anything is better than fram.

I would cut open the bottom of a used Bosch 3520 and see if it has a coil spring or a steel spring plate. Coils are better in doing the job inside the filter. The article about the filters was really good i can't believe i new so little about filters.

Donaldson Endurance ELF7349 are really good too.

Fram are better than STP.

K&N make STP filters i wouldn't use K&N either. read the artile it's very good.
