For the VP44 Guru's..Is there a problem with my VP44?
I have been trying to break the 500hp level for a while now and there is no succes with only #2. Three different setups have all yeilded the same. 465-468hp. Two different turbos and different exhausts and four different sets of injectors, 150hp edm, 120hp ex-honed and Jammer 125, and 150's. Always the same hp. Let me add that I never lost a lift pump before I added a Fass, and there has never been any codes. The truck recieved a new short block at 77K and the dyno results afterwards were the same as before. Under WOT I can see a haze then a clear spot then a hase then clear (... ... ... ... ) like the pump is cycling. and have been told that someone heard a poping at WOT from truck though I have never heard this. I am putting a SB DD in next to rule out the clutch slipping ( although the dyno graph starts getting squiggly from 450hp on) the truck has a OFE now could it be slipping at WOT? Maybe I have a lower volume available HO pump? Not up to standards. The 525 was with water/meth.
Any Ideas is it fuel or clutch?
