Need your intervention for the smarty touch

I don’t get EGT readings and some others? Should I like the PIDS for 2012 I have seen posted?

Can we get an updated manual for newer trucks like mine that explain the possible data points that can be monitored, more explanation of the advanced vs basic programming, etc.

I think this would be VERY appreciated by your customers

Thanks Bob, the PID for the newer truck is nice to have. I have noticed that I cant get simple ones that were available on the 2012 list such as EGT. Is it that the OBD port doesn't read this info any longer or ?

Also, the manual for the newer one is non existent on the site unless updated recently so when I figure out how to PM you with my email I will send you it. Perhaps it can be uploaded to your site as well.

Also, for newbies like me that are not diesel mechanics it would be really nice to start something that educates us on the various PID that would be good to have up all the time, and why. Such as which one tells me when I am in regen mode and how do I tell. Is the TQ-D output worth watching and why is it much higher than the truck numbers, engine vs Rear wheel? I don't want to have to guess.

I got the Touch, and violated my warrenty :(, to try to get the TQ management lag reduced but with the Aisin transmission it seems that a portion of the issue is the transmission. For lack of a better description it seems to shift slow, responds to throttle input slow but then there is the fueling side where I and others have had big issues of lag, especially if you have to come off then on the throttle in traffic.

I was very pleased with the Smarty Jr in my 5.9 and no transmission problems through 200K plus miles set at tow mode. I hear so many things about the Aisin and if it can handle the tow mode or street mode for the Touch. One would hope that they didn't mismatch the Aisin-New Motor in a way that compromises it more so then even the 5.9-48RE was but without actual specs from the manufacturer it would be hard to provide solid advice.
