Is there any difference between 2014 and 2015 Rams besides the year?

Hi.
I've looked recently on 2014 Ram diesels for sale at great prices as year end clerances! Then for a little more they also have 2015s. Any major changes or improvements either way? Why do I look at these! LOL Are their injectors better than my 2007 5.9 Ram? Thanks, Herb

The auto level and the 15 ft lbs torque for the Aisin equipped trucks are the only differences right?

I've come across a 2014 Laramie DRW w/Aisin/4.10s. The MSRP is 67k and the advertised sale price is 56k. I've seen a few '15s with 10k or so advertised discounts so I expect there more room in there for something sitting on the lot for a year or more.

Beginning in the 2013 MY, the fuel filtering system has improvements that should add to the injector lifespan. There's now a rear frame mounted separator in addition to the underhood fuel filter. Both of these offer a 15k mile service interval.

At Ohara Dodge in Clinton, Mi. is the same way. You can buy a 15 for less than the 14 on the lot. Why???
The sales manager there is a real butt head. He claims it is the best he can do, but if you don't buy it
today then this deal is off the table. High pressure sales. Bought three at that dealer and not going
to get a fourth one. New owner with new sales manager. Don't go there.

I believe the 2015's no longer have the dual radiators like my 2014 does. I read that somewhere but the source escapes me. I know the dual radiators may have been overkill because even on long grades pulling a 15K 5th wheel in hot weather doesn't get mine even close to overheating. I doubt they went back to a single radiator because it was better, probably because it was "good enough".

Starting in 2015 power folding tow mirrors became available on more models or available, when they were not on 2014? I quit looking at 2014 because of that feature that I need to garage one.

I never get involved in the outgoing model year "discounts" vs current model year. Anything short of a price increase between the years, you can get the same discount on any truck. I like the saying, there's no deal they'll offer a Tuesday that they won't off on Thursday. I do typically find it easier though to negotiate the best deal on a ordered truck rather than a truck sitting on a lot. Not only does this give you the option of going through fleet, but they're more likely to see the deal as "gravy" and not a loss on a truck that's been sitting on their lot taking up sales space and they've been paying insurance on. You also avoid having to pay for options, some of them dealer installed, that you a) don't want, and b) can't easily determine true "cost" on. Here in AZ they infamously will try to tack on alarms, even on trucks which come standard with them as we're the stolen truck capital of the country (we obviously border Mexico). They'll charge you too much for window tint, and paint "sealers", and crap like that...which trucks already on their lot already have installed. You can more easily avoid these profit boosters on ordered vehicles.

I believe you're right. I received delivery of my '15 the beginning of the month and looked for the radiator hose "Y" that others were talking about and didn't see one on mine. Granted I spent all of 5 seconds looking and didn't following the radiator hoses, but I'm pretty sure this mythical unicorn dual radiator doesn't exist on mine. :)

As for the 2015. Someone on another thread in TDR discovered that Ram was still advertising dual radiators for 2015. It was in a glossy - looking brochure that was also posted in electronic format.
I am wondering if the 3500's still have dual radiators. But not the 2500''s.
Would be nice if someone at Ram would address this. I could understand them advertising the dual radiators in 2013 & 2014 for the PR punch. But to continue to advertise dual radiators that were discontinued is misleading.

I don't see the Y on my '15 3500 dually. I do recall seeing the "dual radiator" in the propaganda on the '15. We need a class action lawsuit started for false advertising. :)

No "Y" on my 15 and I did look for the dual alt option when ordering and it was not there.

The dual alternator option is available, I checked the box on my '15 and they're definitely both there upon delivery.

As for the dual radiators, I'd be curious to see the coolant capacity of each. Perhaps the prior years were a bandaid until a single larger one was developed? After all, if it's the same capacity, and the same amount of rows it shouldn't matter if it was one radiator or two.

See this thread. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/250516-2015-No-Dual-Radiators

It was mentioned near the end of the thread that the part number for the '15 single radiator is the same as the primary in the dual setup.

8 speed diesel and all or front wheel drive. Maybe they do not know what they are talking about? Snoking

While I've never measured.....I don't think the grill size has changed. That whole article is odd, both in specs and grammar.
