Do I have this right? Moving the fuel plate forward = more fuel, more smoke and higher EGTs. Moving the plate back = less fuel, less smoke and lower EGTs. Sliding the AFC housing forward = more air at a lower RPM, for less smoke lower EGTs and quicker spool up.

As a rule of thumb is this correct? If your EGTs are high you need more turbo or air, if your EGTs are low you could add more fuel?

Thanks for your help

Sliding the plate towards the front of the engine gives more fuel etc.

Sliding the AFC housing forward gives you more pre-boost fuel. This helps for a quicker spoolup but also gives you more smoke at take-off. You can adjust the smoke some with the star wheel under the cap on top of the AFC housing. Turning it towards the front = more smoke, turning it back = less smoke.

If your EGT's are too high, you can either go with more air(bigger turbo, boost elbow, turbo housing) or less fuel(no fun at all).

Before I would do anything I would hook myself up with a set of gauges if you haven't already. I did the plate sliding thing before I did my gauges and was real suprised with the EGT temps I was putting out.
