ISSPRO Boost Gauge Restrictor??

I just noticed there is a small removable restrictor screwed into the hose port in the back of my 0-60 lb ISSPRO boost gauge. Its about the size of a needle hole.



Anyone know why thats there and if removing it will allow for faster gauge response?

i think it will respond faster BUT you will probably get some serious needle flutter and possibly shorten the life of the gauge.
