I'm thinking about getting the Juice/Attitude for my CTD but I have a few questions before I pull the trigger. I sure would like some advice from you guys that have done the same or are about to.

I'm wondering about the intercooler ends that are now plastic. Do you think there will be a problem running with this box?

I would also like to know if you are still happy with the Juice/Attitude, if you had it to do over again would you have gotten something else?

Thanks for your input.

Love the Juice, less than thrilled with the Attitude. It doesn't work properly and I have to send it to Edge to get it fixed (reflashed). Don't know about intercooler ends, I haven't blown one yet, but I don't think I've gone over 35lbs of boost... yet

RankRam,

We still have to get together one of these days and compare rigs. You can drive mine with the TST if you want to.

Yes Mark we do need to get together. I have a good friend that has an 04 555 with the TST and it is impressive to say the least.

BTW Thanks for the offer to let try out your rig.

I just ordered the Juice/Attitude this morning! I hope I'm doing the right thing.

This is a very strong running truck stock, but more is better right? :D

By the way thank you Rip. $$

Just set you MAX boost to a resonable number 36psi maybe and it should defuel after it passes this number. It looks to me that it needs to pass the MAX setting before it backsoff. So maybe 36psi settings means not hitting over 38psi actual. Just my "opinion" and what I have seen.

JVolpe thanks for the info!

I downloaded the install instructions from Edge and after reading about the boost setting I still was not sure if the setting for boost was an alarm or an actual defueling setting.

Again thanks for the clarification.

I have been running 38-40lbs boost with the plastic end tanks on the intercooler. No ill effects to speak of.

If you do, just get dodgeboy59td's..... after getting his '05, he "robbed" the intercooler off his dad's '03 {swap out}. :-laf :-laf :-laf

RankRam,

There is actually two different boost related settings. One is the MAX Boost Point setting that controls at what boost reading the Attitude begins defueling. The other is the Boost Alert setting. This setting sets the boost value that an on screen alert message will display. As far as I can tell they are not related in any manner, dont confuse one with the other.

JVolpe I copy that. I'm just taking a break from reading the 43 pages of instructions from Edge's website. As a matter of fact I just read about alarms and settings. Thanks for the info.

I got a couple of questions for you if you don't mind sir.

1. What color is the display at night.

2. What size is the thermocouple for the EGT? Why I ask is I already have a tap for the 1/4" but not for the 1/8". With my luck it will be 1/8" :-laf .

Thanks for your input.

I love my juice attitude, put it on last week. :) I believe the tap is a 1/8 npt, it will tell you in the install manual. here is a photo of what it looks like at night. I would also reccomend the attitude a-pillar mount if you don't already have guages there. Check out my gallery for a day photo.

Tap size for thermocouple IS 1/8 npt :-laf . I just installed my juice/attitude recently. I really like it. :D When you receive yours check the software version of your attitude monitor. If they sent you version 1. 0 go ahead and call edge and get version 1. 1 headed your way. Version 1. 0 freezes up. Edge will send you a attitude with the updated software with a prepaid ups label to return the old version. You just have to give them a credit card number which is not charged anything as long as you return the old monitor within 30 days.

I also really like the pillar mount. It makes the monitor look factory.

If/when you are trying to get good fuel mileage set the low boost fueling to number 1 it makes a big difference. Hope this helps.

I wish I had known that. They didn't tell me that when I called. I paid USPS to send mine back. Figures. Oh well, $6 incl ins. ain't the end of the world.

Yeah, the first person I talked with didn't come out and tell me either. I called back after discovering it was going to take two weeks :{ to ship them mine and get it back. But the person that answered the second call came right out and told me. So I had virtually no down time. :D
