I am at 7480. 100 gallons of fuel and gooseneck hitch. No tools or people. Cat scale in Checotah, Oklahoma.

Steer Axle - 4420

Drive Axle - 2960

Gross Weight - 7380

Thats with 3/4 tank of fuel and no one and nothing in the truck.

I get 20mpg on the highway 60-65mph

I get 16. 5 mpg around town summer

Does anyone with a 2500 over 8800 lbs worry about insurance not covering an accident? I've heard this from another member but not sure if it's true. I could probably live without them paying for my truck but the liability .
