When I step on the pedal the truck laggs and slowly goes until it hits around 1800 to 2000 rpm's then it takes off just like a new truck. I have the edge, 4" exhaust, a knn filter and the transmission has been rebuilt with the new card set up. Everything was fine until I had the front ball joints replaced a tie rod and front end alignment not that those would cause a issue. Any suggestions and help would be a great help.

THANKS

Please let me know what you find out. Mine has this problem too. Totally gutless til it hits 2000 then starts to make good power. It just 'comes on' at 2000 and really wakes up! Very strange, but this truck has ALOT of strange problems. Thank you and good luck.

Check your codes, is there any relation to throttle position? Do you have gauges? What is the fuel pressure?
Start there for now.
When that started to occur with my truck, it steadily got worse and worse. It worked out to be that my stock LP gave out, and that in turn did in the VP44. Not that I am saying this is what occurred to you. More information on the truck will probably provide the answer.

No codes, despite a myriad of problems thru the truck. I don't have guages (yet!) but I will have them soon. Fuel pressure is at 18 psi. Just put a new VP44 on about 2 months ago and an Airdog II 150 gph at the same time. Pumps were bad when I got the truck so I had to change them right away. It's really strange how it suddenly has power when you hit approx 2000 rpm. It's like flipping a switch. I love the truck, but I'm really starting to question my sanity for buying it. There is less that is good than bad on it. It seems to have every known problem on this forum. Sorry to vent a bit. Just getting a little frustrated with the whole thing. Thank you for your time.

I bet its your low boost fueling was changed for some reason or another on the edge. make sure it is not set on 1 or it will be sluggish down low. try it on 5x5 see how she does
