Hello all,

I need some help.....

My "lamp out" indicator comes on intermittently on bumpy roads when I have the headlights are on. I found a license plate bulb out and replaced it. T he problem went away for a while but came back.

I don't know where to start.

Sience its doing it on bumpy roads you might want to check the conections in the headlights, sounds like its coming losse when your going down the bumby roads. Thats just a little help.

Good idea... . I'll try that. I just wonder how many other places could be loose. :(

I was having the same problem. I usually tow out of the bed and I run a (4th?) break light with a rams head in the hitch receiver that my son bought me for my B-Day. I noticed that when I removed it to tow off the hitch it went away. It plugs into the flat-4 which I never use except for the lit receiver cover.

Anyway, while at the dealer one day dropping off a filter socket, I asked the service manager about it. He said some trailers set it off or something like that. I said that I'd pay more attention to whether the 4th break light had anything to do with it. I dunno and I'm out of warranty, LOL.

What is a "front controal moduel"??

computer controlled/w/no/fuses suc

This thread and many others confirm it. These head light circuits are not up to the task. DODGE fix it! Put in fuses where they belong. Computers have their place too. What's so hard about that!

Check the rear bulbs and sockets. My 03 had high resistance and melted the plastic around the contacts on the bulb. The sockets were on back order for a while, so there must have been a few bad ones. The front control module will store the codes for whatever circuit was acting up. Find a fuse that can do that!

Sag2, So your saying the front control module was opening(disconnecting) the front headlight circuit,(the left one?)causing the "lamp out" on the dash, and the head light went out ,because you had bad tail light sockets?

there was a thread about this earlier...

i think it had something to do with checking the common body grounds and making sure that they actually contacted bare metal, not painted metal. do a search, you will find something.

good luck.

My dash light was dinging and blinking for about 3 days, but know it has stopped. I do know it was the drivers side rear, but since it hasn't done it in 3 days now I am going to leave it alone.
