Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone knows if there is a larger tank for a 01, 2500, Reg. Cab, 8ft bed, 4x4. The only one I have been able to find is the D-50 from Aero tank which is for 95 to 2000(98 to 2000 for diesels). I read some mixed reviews saying that they wheren't good. I dont want a in the bed tank at all. I want a under the bed tank. I am not worried to much about it hanging down past the frame rails to much I dont do any offroading at all. I am just looking right now for options out there for down the line.

Thanks for any info,

Anthony

Transferflow in Chico,CA has a 54 gallon replacement fuel tank for 2001 Rams and also a couple of in bed models. When my 01 was new I had them install what they called an "aft axle" 36 gal unit mounted where the spare would normally be, making a total of 72 gallons between both tanks. I've had it 8 years now with no problems, but they no longer make that unit. Expensive, yes, but a high quality product.

Don't know what the difference is between 00 and 01's. As far as I know nothing really. My 01 does not have a in the tank pump.

Joe Donnelly reported on a 56 gallon Transfer Flow replacement tank installation in TDR magazine several years ago.

Transfer Flow tanks are a bit expensive but every owner (like me) will tell you they are worth the price. Their products and service are top quality, before and after the sale.

Check with Dually Depot in Elk Hart Indianna. They have a 115 gal. in bed tank. I have it in my 01 dually. It can be installed to work independently of the regular tank, and the gauge will work also. :-laf

I think he wanted an under bed tank not in bed. Does Dually Depot have any of those

Not sure if they do or not. Google for Dually Depot to get their number and you can find out. They are good people.

dead-on! TF is worth every penny for the ENGINEERING and quality.

I had a Transfer Flow in my 92 & never had any problems with it Would recommend them to any one. The only reason I don't put one on my 02 is my bladder barely goes 34 Gal.

I've got 60 Gallon Aero tanks in both the '96 2WD and the '97 4WD. I had them installed at the Aero Tank shop on my way through the Corona (east LA) area.

AeroTanks-we specialize in auxiliary fuel tanks.

These replace the factory under bed tank, and fill through the normal filler. I am 100% happy with them. The '97 has been in since 2001, and has been trouble free. Their price now is $785 for the D-60, with a $140 install price. I think I paid around $800 installed.
